Objective
To create a photo series for Yasin’s personal blog—he is a reporter for an
independent media outlet in Paris. The main goal was not just to show him as a
journalist, but as a person organically immersed in the spirit of the city:
without clichés or staged poses, but with a focus on individuality and
authenticity.
How did the shoot go?
For this project, we chose the format of a photo walk through the Île de la
Cité and Île Saint-Louis—iconic yet still authentic corners of Paris, where
history meets modern life. The route and shooting points were planned in
advance to take advantage of the best lighting, interesting architecture, and
diverse city details.
During the walk, I focused on capturing the hero’s emotions, sense of freedom,
and attentiveness to the world around him. Yasin interacted with the space
easily and naturally—just as he does every day.
Result
The resulting series turned out to be atmospheric and sincere: these images
reflect not only Yasin’s individuality but also the distinct spirit of Paris.
The photos fit harmoniously into his personal blog, adding uniqueness and
freshness to it.
Paris in these shots is not just a backdrop, but a living part of the story that interacts with the protagonist and shapes the overall atmosphere of the shoot.
